Birth of a Relationship…
This is the day (November 20, 1997) 11 years back I left my religion for a relationship with the Almighty God offered through his only Son Jesus Christ, through his death in the cross for all man kind. I know my Lord has been following me for long, I ignored his voice for long and was pursuing with all my passion what the world offers, I was very skeptic in the things of God even though I was born and raised by Godly parents. Friends were my life, Cinema stars were my idols, though the world never know I lived in secret sins against the Holy God. But this day is the Day I surrendered my life to my Lord and Master Jesus Christ who has said I am the true Shepherd.
“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” – John 1:12,13
Born for godly parents has not made me know God personally and has not helped me walk in holiness, And I found always that my religiosity was substituting the place of God. That November 20th for me is a Day of freedom from fear and death, yes indeed it is my Born again experience.
After Choosing A Relationship:
1. First I saw the Almighty God as my personal Heavenly Father
2. My fear for God is gone, Fear of God came in to my life
3. Understood God is a Holy God, I can never reach him through my good works
4. I Left my throne and allowed my God to take the throne of my Life
5. Submitted my will to God, Started praying his will be done in my Life
6. Obeying his commands was not hard but was a delight, because of this loving relationship
7. I was forgiven and I Chose to Forgive others no matter what
8. Understood He is the Almighty God and ruler of everything
9. Understood He is Powerful God, Because he changes hearts of a wretched sinner like me
10.Fear of Death is Gone, I have a clear conscious of eternal life with the almighty God from that day
Do you have a Relationship or a Religion? God wants to have relationship with you.
With deep love and gratitude, I will sing of my saviour forever and forever…
