Wenger Will Defend Rotation Policy In Carabao Cup
Arsene Wenger will continue to take advantage of Arsenal’s luxury squad with a rotation in this week’s game.
The Gunners welcome Norwich at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday (10/25/2017) early morning, in the fourth round Carabao Cup. It remains a domestic trophy Wenger who is not a priority while in the UK, and the Frenchman was known to often use young talent in the competition.
Wenger, who saw his side win 5-2 at home to Everton in the Premier League ekan ninth that made Ronald Koeman lost his job as manager of the Toffees, insists that he will continue the same approach, as it was applied in the Europa League this season.
“I will continue to rotate. I have discussed the rotation policy, and then I shall continue to do so, especially when the two teams work well and support each other both teams today, “said Wenger.
“I must say that it is difficult to make changes due to win in an away game like we did in Belgrade, we need some special qualities. We hope to repeat it in the game against Norwich, “he added.
Opportunity for young players
There is a positive side of the tight schedule of matches that must be served Arsenal every week. The number of matches make Wenger have kesempatn to play all the players he has. Moreover, The Professor seems to view the Europa League is not as important as the English League or Champions League.
“That is the luxury I have today and the difficulties I face. All these players play well, play well and they deserve to play. Fortunately, we have an important game every week so I can give the competition to all the players. As you say, we also have offensive power on the bench. This is really the club’s strong points right now, “Wenger continued.
Wenger almost won the League Cup in 2011 but his side were defeated surprisingly by Birmingham in the final. He believes this time, his players are strong enough to stay in the Carabao Cup despite his rotational policy.
“I always use it to give opportunities to young players. We qualified for the final with a very young team and almost won, I always focus on winning trophies in the Premier League and FA Cup domestically, and always use the League Cup as an education for our young players, “he concluded.
